WESTON THEATER COMPANY PRESENTS THE PREMIERE OF THE TWELFTH NIGHT SHOW

Shakespeare like you’ve never heard it before. Weston Theater Company proudly invites audiences to The Twelfth Night Show, a genre-blending, music-filled reimagining of the Bard’s classic comedy running from September 26 to October 12 at Walker Farm.

Born out of Weston’s own Writers’ Retreat in 2022 and created by alumni Megumi Nakamura and Jacob Brandt, The Twelfth Night Show turns a band’s last-chance effort to save their beloved theater into a hilarious and heartwarming adventure. Mistaken identities, tangled love lives, and original music collide as four musicians are thrust into the spotlight. This wildly entertaining and joyous new comedy proves that the show must — and will — go on.

Megumi Nakamura (Broadway: Mary Jane; NYC directing credits: Sulfur Bottom, Anne Frank in Mt. Vernon, OH) also directs the show. Says Nakamura, “It has been a gift to work on a show that focuses on education, for all ages, through the lenses of joy and comedy - all things which we can use more of right now. The Twelfth Night Show truly has something for everyone, and we can’t wait to invite audiences to laugh with us, tap their toes, and experience a brand new story about the delights and challenges of keeping a classic play alive.”

The cast features a vibrant ensemble of actor-musicians, many of them returning Weston favorites: Jacob Brandt (at Weston: Hair, Once, Ring of Fire, with other credits including Lincoln Center, Shakespeare Theatre Company, and The Huntington) as Jacob; Eileen Doan (select credits include The Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and Civic Theatre Aukland, and Once at Coachella Valley Repertoire) as Eileen; Seth Eliser (at Weston: Ring of Fire, Once, and Pump Boys and Dinettes. Off-Broadway: The Jonathon Larson Project and Beau: The Musical)  as Seth; and Allie Seibold (at Weston: Jersey Boys and The Music Man. National and International Tours of Disney on Classic and The Lightning Thief) as Allie.

Behind the scenes, a dynamic creative team brings The Twelfth Night Show to life. Scenic design is by Daniel Prosky (Irish Repertory Theatre, Atlantic Theater Company), costumes by Roger Teng (Sulfur Bottom, Signature Theatre’s Someone Spectacular), lighting by Colleen Doherty (Machinal, Ghost of John McCain, and an associate credit on Broadway’s The Great Gatsby), and sound by Megumi Katayama (off-Broadway: Wonderful Town, Titanic, Jelly's Last Jam). Jacob Brandt also serves as Music Director in addition to his role as composer,  co-creator, and cast member. Danielle Zandri (at Weston: Once, Million Dollar Quartet, Ring of Fire, is the Production Stage Manager. Casting is by Michael Cassara, CSA.
